Congratulations!!!

I think you would be maybe a month or two. Mild cramping in the first trimester is very normal. If it's severe cramping, cramping that affects your daily routine and/or bleeding accompanies, then you need to talk to your OB.

Tylenol is very safe for headaches and such during pregnancy. Do Not take Ibuprofren. It sends the wrong messages to the uterus. Tums or Rolaids are ok for heartburn. If your heartburn is severe and the Tums/Rolaids aren't working, then again, talk to your OB. He/she can suggest some other alternatives. Stool softeners are ok for consitpation, but again, talk to your OB if constipation is a problem. There are some laxatives that cause severe cramping, those you should stay away from. Your OB can tell you which ones are ok or not ok.

As far as food goes, eat whatever you like. There are cheeses that you need to stay away from...I think Brie cheese, Bleu Cheese...rotten cheeses like that. Keep the fish intake low. There are some that have high mercury content which needs to be avoided in pregnancy. If you have doubts, ask the OB!

Other than that, goodluck and enjoy!!

You should be about a month to a month and a half along. If you have had miscarriages in the past or have not been pregnant in a long while (which you have said) it may or may not be normal, depending on the severity of the cramps. I would almost imagine age might have a factor (but I'm not saying you're old either!!).

If they are really mild, it's just a cist that grows naturally on the ovary which goes away later on as the pregnancy progresses. If they are really bad to where you can't catch your breath at times, go see your doctor.

If you are spotting with the cramping, you definitely need to see your doctor. Getting good prenatal care is very important. Your doctor can give you all kinds of information on good nutrition. Don't forget to take prenatal vitamins. Tylenol is ok to take, but ask your doctor. He can give you a list of what you can and cannot take.
