I've been having some sharp pains on my side to lower end of my stomach like say if you were running and you got a cramp from jogging. I'm not sure if it's worth worrying about or not. Plus last night I had discharge that looked yellowish and like a big clump of jelly I know it wasn't my mucus plug but I can't remember when I was pregnant with my son during my last pregnancy if they said it was part of the cervix.

And the reason I haven't called my doctor yet is b/c I have to go see him tomorrow in the morning and I'm not feeling like waiting for a phone call back for hours if I'm just over worrying.

I forgot to say I'm 29 weeks along.

I also might what to add I have a cerclage in place so my cervix doesn't dialate. I had my son at 33 weeks and went into labor with him at 20 weeks so they had to put one of those in with him also. So I'm high risk and we aren't having any sexual activity.

Don't muck around with the Doctor, call your Midwife right now. As you already know you are a (sorry to say it) high risk patient and you should get checked out now. Last thing you want is for it all to go pear shaped in the night, with another little one to worry about (my experience was mayhem at around 12 midnight with my 2 year old - it really freaks them out). What I'm saying is what your thinking (I think). Get yourself checked out now please. Good luck.

Its TOTALLY and COMPLETELY normal to have sharp pains along your side and belly. Teh tendons ancoring the uterus stretch and its actually quite painful.

As far as the discharge... I think its unrelated to the pains.

How yellow it yellow? Ive noticed that the farther along i get in pregnancy it seems to take longer for everything to come back out after me and my husband have sex. Literally like 24 hours later... I know thats graphic, but maybe it's just your fluids and his...

The pains along your stomach dont send up any red flags, I just got back from the doctors for them, they were bad enough to keep me awake at night.

But generally you're not supposed to have discharge with color. It could be an infection. The mucus plug is generally a bloody show, brownish or red.

Call your OB and ask about it if you're too nervous to wait for the morning, or if the stomach pains end up becoming so intense that you feel the need to bear down.

I always had some pain in my sides while pregnant. My doc said it was from my stomach stretching. However it was never as bad as what you described. The other symptoms sound kind of normal when your pregnant. Sometimes the weight of the uterus can cause your glands that produce discharge to get a little messed up. I would definately talk to your doctor just to be safe and if you have any more pains call him/her immediately. Thats their job so don't think you are bothering them. They probably have patients that call them everyday and night over less.

Seeing as you are high risk, and have a circlauge, I would call the office and see what they think. He may want to check you today, and if you have started dialating, you can really do damage to your cervix if they don't take it out, if you are in labour. Better to be safe than sorry, I would call.

PAINS come and go in the pregnacy. WHAt color was the plug? was it bloody or blood color? The discharge can be normal. ANY bloody discharge needs to be reported asap.
