Not a bit of use because they are both the same God.

I am no expert but my point of view goes like this, and I don't want either side moaning because the events in history leads me to this very roughly put conclusion.

Everything was honky dory up to the time one tribe fell out with the others and found their promised land.
Then Jesus was born, and God being God had him born among the people of that tribe. Well as you can guess there were well miffed so, and as the story goes, they had the Romans who were in charge at that time give him the deep six.
All the other tribes welcomed Jesus but they kept their peace.

The Romans were losing the plot and having so many of their slaves turning to this inspired lot, who believed in Jesus, fed them to their lions until they had the bright idea of a new control method.
They gave the conquered part of Europe their first Pope.
Well as you can guess he wasn't much good at it but when they found how better was their control, they polished up the office. Over the years after a lot of torture and conquering, things looked a lot more spiritual.
This brings up to about 5-600 years after they killed Christ.

By now you might think the tribes who lost Jesus as their saviour were a bit angry, and this is understandable, because their God really was the true God.
Along came God's second attempt and he sent down Muhammad and probably warned him what they had done to Jesus. Anyway and according to the Pope's 2006 recent story, Muhammad wasn't going to let this happen again, so he told his peers to fight anyone who didn't believe him.
Well you can see the sense in that and the same thing happens like this every day.
You get a chance and mess up you pay for it.
Now the first lot were left without Jesus or Muhammad, and the second lot had Jesus but no Muhammad.
Major clangers all round, except for the original tribes.
Time goes by and the controllers did everything they could to keep a tight reign. Enter the so called Holy Wars.

What we now know as the West was getting hot under the collar with what we now call the East.
For a start they had the nerve to land in Europe as we know it and start to educate us, and lots of the West's scholars lost their lives because they were learning too much for comfort.
Well things went from bad to worse but the West with the help of China, who invented gunpowder, made better weapons and because everyone wanted to get rich, things calmed down.
Everyone knew the score though, and kept things quite.
About another 6-700 years go by and most of the West were Roman Catholic, and by now, Roman Catholics who had broken away from Rome and became Protestants.
Luther gave us the printing press and things went done hill fast for the Western lot. When we got the plot all sorts of interpretations were made of the West's religions.
Some got so mad they followed the path of Columbus who was funded by a Catholic Queen and the Brits let her claim so. Columbus to have discovered America.
Well we were Catholic too, and she had better boats.
The fact he never got further than Jamaica for five years escaped every ones notice?
Any back to the story. This lot who left Britain started up their own life using other Brits as slaves, who incidentally were the original slaves in America, only they were called bondsmen.
They could buy their freedom if they won the lottery but they never had one.
Well of course the UK taxman moved in and they ended up slinging him out and then the army and final we had a dust up with them. They won and we started to make iron in a big way.
Pause for profit and everything went peaceful for a while.
Finally the USA won the so called cold war, or at least they think they have, and now as Super Power things go nicely for a while. After a lot of questionable moves Bush comes to power.
Now he hasn't been any further than the end of the pier, and here he is in charge?
Well the rest you all know by now.

So folks this is the end of my story.
All we've got to do is find a way back to the fold and get a little so called democracy in there, and become true believers once again. Peace will be ours one day if only for the reason that God has put so much effort into it.

I am C of E and neutral except for Queen and Country.

I'm sure he'd be willing for the sake of peace in our time however it would never happened. He just made an apology and it was not accepted...nothing is negotiable with those people because they have no respect for people of any other religious practice. We are all infidels to them...that's pretty concrete evidence and they prove it daily.

I think you'll find that the Pope's god and the Islamic god (and the Jewish god) are the same god.

They just believe in different prophets.

Not really coz then our good old pope would have to be dead to meet a "god"............ how can terrorist muslims say they have a God? I don't think allah or who ever he is would really like to see his followers killing and destroying, OR if he does then he certainly is not a god...

Hello! The pope was simply quoting someone else with his remarks last week. Why is it that people can't read?
