Honesty. If a man is honest he already has the intellect to know truth from a lie. Kindness is a given with a man who speaks only with sincerity. Respect is always demanded and deserved of an honest man. Self-assuredness is echoed in the words of an honest man. Integrity and straightforwardness is romantic; therefore an honest man emulates romance.

i would pick #2. honesty. my husband has been honest with me from the first time that we met. it is the most important thing you can have in your life. we have never had to play games with each others emotions, just because we waited to tell the other a secret. i have seen people wait to tell their spouse that they have a secret, and it has ruined the entire thing. i have told my husband every little thing that i can think of that no one else even knows about me, except him. without honesty there is nothing else. it is the stepping stone for an entire relationship. sorry so long.

Kindness.
Someone who is kind will not use his intelligent to hurt. Since he is kind, he most probably values relationships -- such a guy will know honesty and respect are too important to be neglected.
A kind man is someone who is self-assured too: he does not afraid to give.
To me, being romantic without kindness, is dangerous. It can degrade to manipulation.

It's like a Lay's Potato Chip,you can't eat (pick) just one! Since I was in a bad marraige for so long,I would say being respectful would have to be #1.
