soon i have this meeting in the embassy to get the visa to travel to the states. my mother -in-law she is writting the letter of invitation cuz my bf's family wants to meet me. Ok. but the problem is that we dont know if its better to just tell them im going to meet my bf's family (which is the true) but we're afraid they can rejected me (cuz they would think i'll try to stay or whatever) and ask me to go for a fiancee visa (any way it wouldnt be true cuz im in college and workin here and if i'd wanted to go that way, we would just marry) OR just go for the way that his mom wants and its to dont mention him in the letter but his sister which is my friend that i met by the internet and now her family wants to meet me and want me to visit them for christmas. But my bf said to me he would get angry if i get rejected bc of his mom letter idea and not bc i said the truth.

what you think it could be the best to do?

Well it sounds like anyway you tell it its the truth. So just go with which ever one you want to.
But your right about meeting the bf parents it might get rejected.
So his moms version may be better.

Now is not a good time to be telling anything less than the truth to the US Immigration authorities. They are pretty humorless and unforgiving if they think you lied.

Some things don't equate. You are married, thus you have a mother in law. You have a boyfriend. You might want to get the terminology straight before you visit the embassy.

Otherwise, just tell them the truth. Lies lead to too much bookkeeping in your brain, trying to keep them all straight. The truth is much easier in the long run. If you are not "up to no good", visiting the US, I don't see any valid reason for them to disallow your visit.

To me I would say be completely honest, you don't want to lie to these people just in case they do find out your screwed next time you want to try and get to the states. If both is true maybe combined the two stores, you want to go visit your friend and her family as well as your boyfriend. I don't see much of a problem with that but you have already decided so I hope this helps you in some way. Have a safe trip!
