I have worked various jobs at night and seem to have some memory loss, or low attention span, can this be fixed.

My husband used to work graveyard shift. He started day shift and went back to graveyard shift.

I noticed he wasn't eating as good, he became pale, He slept a lot but never could feel that he caught up on his sleep. He could not sleep more than 4 hours at a time. He was becoming very unhealthy.

I have been working nights for going on 10 years now the only problem I encounter is when I don't get enough sleep or I try to sleep at night like normal people do. When I sleep during the night say on weekends it just messes up my whole bio clock and takes me about 2 days to get back in the groove again. I guess I am somewhat lucky because I only need about 5 hours sleep and I am ready to go it is like I have a built in alarm clock I just wake up after sleeping for about 5 hours but like I said before not enough sleep or my schedule gets messed up and I am like a zombie I cant focus on things right and I sometimes get headaches yawn alot and even doze off just sitting in a chair but as long as I keep myself on a normal schedule then things are good working nights is not for everyone but I like it

it'll be ok, once you get used to it. I used to be a boilerman. 2 days shift. 2 nights shift. and 2 graveyard shift. Graveyard is the hardest specially if you have kids and wife!!

It don't make any difference what shift you work. Maybe you should have your doctor check you out. I don't think it's your night time job that's doing it.
