One aging, vulnerable quarterback will NEVER be able to carry a bad team with mediocre coaching. A monkey could have seen this coming five years ago, when Farve WAS carrying the whole team.......

even although i'm a Steelers fan i think of that the fairway Bay Packers would desire to be considered the best NFL team of ALL TIME. some Steelers and Cowboys followers tend to throw their super Bowl earrings in others faces, yet completly overlook approximately green Bay's championships. do not overlook the Browns have 8 NFL championships to the Steelers 6, yet some Steelers followers overlook that and rub it in Browns followers faces. So confident. green Bay would desire to be the actual "u.s.'s team". have exciting dealing with the Cowboys bandwagoners with this question.

I would say GM..... what they really should have done was sit down and have a long talk with Bret Farve, let him know how much they appreciate him, and then honestly let him know that they really need to find out what they have in Aaron Rodgers. (rather than leave it in Bret's court to decide to retire or not) This would have allowed Bret Farve to retire gracefully like he deserves to do. I don't think anyone wants to see Bret Farve sit on the bench, and it will make the organization look like jerks if they start Aaron Rodgers, particularly since it really isn't Bret Farve's fault they are losing right now. But what is happening is that without starting Aaron Rodgers, they will still have a losing season and they won't know how to rebuild the organization in the coming years when Farve is gone. They need to see Aaron Rodgers in a game time situation so they know how to build, and now they face the situation of having to decide whether to sit Farve or to wait it out.

It's really a combination of things.... they have been to passive over the past few years and instead of picking up new blood along the way, they've put themselves in a situation where they need a freeking transfusion.... that is a GM problem....
Brett Favre has another good year in him... maybe two, but I doubt he'll play next year, because this will be a long building process, and he wants to win now.

We can't give up on the packers have a little faith in them..
Right now it's too soon to tell where the problem is.
If you ask me it's the FANS, who just give up and only after 2 games...

Their biggest problem is John Madden's insatiable and disturbing lust for Brett Favre.
That, and the rest of the team sucks.

Bending over for that has been quarterback Farve. He should stay on as a backup and help teach the new quarterback, but he has that ego problem.....
