National Service for the lazy and greedy youth with no manners or respect, I know not all the youth of today is cracked but the ones that are should be given a good dose of National Service.

The cane in schools to instill some discipline into the current youth who respond to discipline when it is correctly taught/administered, and when they become adult the majority look back and realise it did not do them any harm but quite the opposite it helped shape them into being better human beings. The politically correct brigade should consider this with immediate effect as we are losing the battle with todays violent/aggressive young people who are not bad but who are in need of simple discipline.

Values, prices, streeet dances, home cooked meals served by a stay at home mom, neighbors sitting outside in the evening, lunch counters at the local drug store, Grants or Kresge, 5 & 10 stores, tourist attractions you can afford and kids who play outside without fear of being abducted by a drug-crazed pervert or weirdo.

I wasn't there at the time but I belive that these days we are plagued by comercialism. In those days it was not so much the case and I would love it if we could go back to being that way.

Families that stay together and live in the same streets with unlces, aunts, granparents etc. a return to the old style community.
