I used to watch them when I was younger. I guess it would leave a rush over you. Alert you.
Now I cannot watch them. My mind wonders to much afterwards. I don't like the feeling it leaves with me.
I would have to say no.
But there are those out there that like the "thrill" from a good horror movie.

The old black & white horror films featuring Lon Chaney & Bela Lugosi in my own opinion are some of the best horror genre films ever made. Dracula being the gold standard of old school horror. I do happen to agree with the other respondants in that the films of today offer more gore than anything else. Plus also they are trying to remake films from 30yrs ago ie: The Hills Have Eyes & Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

I prefer the older horror films coz the ones they try to make today are actually really bad. Thrillers aren't too bad but then that's where most people get confused between the two.

considering the fact which you're experiencing the horror by potential of `proxy`. marvel and horror is barely exciting no count if that is not happening to YOU! We watch poor floods, earthquakes, wars, (fiction or actual) for the same motives: we are mushy in our risk-free and shield residences and armchairs, yet seeing those poor issues thro a sprint window (the television) that are incredibly happening. We experience risk-free in our comfortable little international, yet can nonetheless experience `marvel by potential of proxy` at what's happening to others. in case you have been THERE, and you have been the only being watched at the same time as chaos reigned around you, you will experience very diverse!

It depends on the movie!! Some are possible to watch and enjoy, such as The Final Destination series! On the other hand, I would stay away from the Freddy and Jason movies!!!

I adore Horror films, anything that gets the heart racing.
You don't have to take them onboard.
