I am 28w1d and I have been losing (what I think is) my mucous plug. It's like clumps of white/clear discharge. It is extremely thick (sometimes stringy) and I have had this 4 times and the size of it is pretty big (bigger than a quarter). I have also been having these pintching cramps in my vagina. It feels like someone is sticking their hand up there and pintching something. My back aches (like to the point of tears). and the last thing is, It feels like she keeps kicking me in my cervix...but I feel her feet up by my ribs... What's going on??

Its possibly your mucus plug but not likely. Most women don't even see their plug, when it does come out, it usually looks kind of like someone "blew their nose in your panties". It could be your cervix is thining. As for the pinching cramps that will probably happen more and more as the baby drops, same as the bach ache and kicking feeling. You will get more pressure there the further along you get.
With the discharge however, you need to make sure you don't have a yeast infection. That can cause preterm labor if it goes untreated. If you are already thinning, etc.. then there is a good chance you may go a little early anyway. Call your dr. just to have all of it confirmed (I'm not a dr, but I did have the same problems when preg. with my daughter, must be a girl thing, lol ).
Sit in a warm tub of water for your back, it will do wonders!

All that mucus is what freaks me out. Personally I'd feel better getting checked out. But in my head I know its something normal.

If its something pinchy at your vagina, or in the birth canal thats totally normal, that area changes and gets crampy and sore. If its farther in, like your cervix It would drive me nuts, but again, thats typically pretty normal too, expecially if she's been kicking it.

The cervix, when healthy and strong, is designed to take the abuse of a kicking baby, and your daily activities clear through pregnancy. Its an amazingly strong muscle. But if you have reason to doubt the integrity of yours, go get checked, it takes like five minutes.

Does the discharge smell? because it could be a yeast infection.

I have heard that you can shed and replace your mucus plug throughout pregnancy, but i never asked into it. Its normal the farther along you get to have more discharge. But it sounds like you have a lot of stuff going on.

I'd call your OB, tell them whats going on, and see what they want you to do. You'll feel much better, and theyre paid to be there when you call.

Id say if its as bad as you say go in to your Doc asap. Your mucus plug should only be lost once and its WAY to soon for it to be that. Id go in right away and make sure everything is okay. You dont want a pre term baby and its very concerning your back shouldnt hurt to the point of brining you to tears. I know when i went into pre-term labor those were my symptoms and i was on bed rest for 3 months so be careful its better to know for sure then to not know whats really going on :) Goodluck!!

Call your OB/GYN asap to talk to someone. They will probably want you to come straight in and be checked out. There is something going on that they need to check out. Your mucous plug is brownish though. Good Luck

You really should go get looked at. You don't want to wait and then it end up being pre-mature labor, you're child could have serious health issues if you wait any longer. Something else could be wrong. You never know, better safe than sorry!!! Go get looked at and see what's going on.

Get yourself off to the hospital NOW. Phone your midwife and doctor first. But don't wait or hang around. Good luck!

ask your docter. This is not something you should ask us, and rely on us. A specialist will know the answer for sure. For the sake of you and your baby, dont ask vital things like these on a message board! You never know who is answering!

Get to the hospital. They can give you meds if necessary to stop pre-term labor. Go now!
