Europe Heading For War?

I see fighting street to street ........ we're doomed!!!!!! LOL What do you think?

May be not. But the chance of going to war is a tangible possibility,or danger.
I think we still have time to avoid it. But our governments must start to think about the problem as a Union of countries.
What you mostly see is each country (government or party) looking for their interests, suspicious about the other Europeans.
We, Europeans, have been fighting among ourselves for thousands years.
We are a lot of weak states and some of us still dream of being the leaders of Europe.
So I believe that war can be avoid if we became a EU, strong, intelligent, peace minded but determined in our convictions.

That is the problem with fighting in the street and terrorists. You can't nuke them. the UK and France have nukes and they are virtually useless. We have one effective weapon. Taxation! If we tax gasoline, diesel and aviation fuel to £2 a litre throughout the EU. People will reduce consumption and the demand for oil would plummet. hence oil financed terrorism would plummet. Global warming would be less of a threat to our survival. people could have a nice holiday every 5 years instead a 4 drunken binges every year. People would have to be nicer to each other or go crazy - with no escape. Unless they had loads of money. Maybe we will have to make that £5 a litre. Or just make the same as a packet of cigarettes.....

I don't believe Europe by and large is headed for a large classical war at all. However, conflict may occur in many ways and even at this moment either through cynical plan or by chance many European countries are experiencing a 'war' through the high birth rates of large numbers of people within their borders who do not hold the nation's basic traditions at all, who would overthrow those traditions in favor of their own, and who may eventually overthrow the original populace entirely religiously, culturally, financially and ethnically.

Heading for one? I thought we were already fighting about four in various parts of the world, so unless they bring back National Service to use the excess energy in some of the louts involved in street fighting, we'll have a lovely one between the muslims and the louts.

That sounds like a very gloomy prediction, although you give precious little information to support your assertion. Heading for war with who, for eg. Your first respondent seems happy because he thinks the EU will protect him. He is living in cloud cuckoo land. In a potential war situation they will try appeasement, that won't work, then you will get fragmentation into nation states.

It is only a matter of time before Muslims attempt to overthrow the governments of the EU. I would estimate before the turn of the century.
