might want to consider getting a lawyer. But yes, I believe you have a 2 year statute of limitations from the date of the incident to file a claim. If you think you might, keep track of your bills, records, and witnesses that could testify on your behalf. Since this would likely include the police officer called to the scene, its best not to wait the full 2 years, and take care of things while everythign is still fresh in your mind.

By the way though, the civil suit would have to be against the other driver, unless it was something really odd which would put the state at fault, so you will probably have to involve your insurance as well.

Why would the county in Ky owe you a car? Did you work for the county and had to use your own car for business purposes? Possibly then you can attempt to sue.
But if this was just an typical accident then the only recourse you will have is against the other driver and their insurance co. What about your insurance co. did you not have enough insurance to cover loss of automobile? I would say you don't have a case against Ky. but possibly the other driver, sorry!

If you had a lawyer did you file the necessary notice of claim agianst the County. I assume the PT was paid for. The cost of the car, they may be taking the position that that only owe you the cash value of the original car.

Om not certain of they did you wrong or if the layer didnt explain it to you well

GoodLuck

You want the county in KY to give you another car? You are mistaken if you think they owe you a car. YOU need to deal with your insurance company about your car. Your policy will be written to carry liability for damages...or the person who hit you, would have to pay. Either way, it is an insurance problem, not a COUNTY government problem, unless you are claiming the county is liable for your accident?

Nor are they liable for your medical care unless you are on Medicaid.

Unless the county is responsible for the accident and the loss of your car (accident involving a county vehicle?), then no, they are not required to do anything. I would do as a few others suggest, and talk to a lawyer about your situation.

If the conspiracy against you is so big that your own lawyer was paid off, I'd say drop the whole thing and move to a different part of the country, or get out of the country immediately!

I would talk to someone who knows the laws of your state, usually a lawyer doesn't charge for the initial consultation. I would check with them but it sounds like you could have a case.
