Oh boy, you have ask a good one here.First and fore most Gibson is a man and not an object. He has suffered through alcoholism for years and has come a great distance before messing up. I cannot and never will except a person of such intelligence to allow themselves to get behind the wheel of a car drunk. Even though the pressures of performance though out ones life becomes overwhelming you should never allow yourself to be sucked into a position as he has.Racist, maybe, but more likely just a big mistake long overdue. He could have prevented this, however membership has had it's privileges down through time and we must remember that he is human , not a god. Think on this, " Our greatest glory is not in never failing but in rising each time we fall."

He does. Celebrities are often seen as role models for a lot of youngsters, they should behave themselves in public. I also think that if a person makes as much money as Mel Gibson they can surely afford a driver, so why even drive themselves if they think they might take a few drinks?

JUST BECAUSE THE MAN HAS A DRINKING PROBLEM, IS NO REASON TO KEEP CONDEMNING HIM.
HE DOESN'T,T DESERVE ALL THIS BULL CRAP. OK, SO HE GOT CAUGHT, WHO DOESN'T KNOW SOMEONE WHO HAS SCREWWED UP AT LEAST ONCE IN THEIR LIVES.
LEAVE THE POOR GUY ALONE. HE HAS SUFFERED ENOUGH.

I'M SURE AFTER THIS BAUGHT HE HAS LEARNED A BIG LESSON.
