The city is just a short stroll from the ferry terminal.
Go to the Crown for a pint. It's on Great Victoria Street opposite the Grand Opera House and the Europa Hotel.
For shopping, you'll want Royal Avenue, Corn Market, and the Castle Court Shopping Mall.
Treat yourself to a visit to the Odyssey and W5.
There's so much to do and see, you really need more than just one day to be honest.

Most importantly, Have Fun ! ! ! !

you just need to walk outside the building when you get off the ferry and your in the town centre. If you enjoy restaurants then i would recommend the red panda its a very nice chinese restaurant also you have to goto the oddesy there are so many things to do there. The zoo in belfast is also fantastic so be sure to visit that. Oh and last but not least if your female or are bringing female friends dont hesitate to ask for m help i only charge a small fee that cant be payed in money lol. Hope i've helped

Have never gone by ferry but the city itself is great. You could take a trip to Belfast Castle - lovely small castle used as a hotel and the Belfast zoo is quite near that. Alternatively the giants causeway is only about 1.5 hours away by bus and well worth a visit, as is the carrick-a-rede rope bridge which is about 10 miles from the causeway. There is loads of shopping to do and it's a very nice city to walk around if that's what you like. Hope you enjoy it.
