I found out i was pregnant 2 weeks ago. Before getting a + preg test, I had fever and my genital lymph nodes got swollen as well (was told this was body reacting to pregnancy). Question now is fever is long gone but my right lymph node still is swollen - doesnt hurt anymore, only when pressed, so now I am wondering if this could be a cyst or tumor even - the fact that I can feel it (about 1inch - little less) i dont think its on an ovary, etc...but just curious if anyone could relate to this. It just developed when I had high basal temperatures and never went away. Like I said it doesnt bother me, but this is my first pregnancy so I'm nervous about EVERYTHING that could be negatively affecting this pregnancy. Thanks

I have a few lymph nodes that are close to the skin, and because of my allergies, they are easy for me to find... not quite swollen, but if you run your finger in that area, they are definitely easy to find. When pregnant I had the same thing, they were just a bit more swollen than normal and concerned me. The doc told me it was completely normal and not to worry.

Something that I have been told is that checking them often will irritate them and they will remain more swollen than they would normally be. -- Yes, through personal experience (-:

If it keeps worrying you, make sure you talk to your doctor about it. S/he will either perform some tests, or reassure you that it's nothing to worry about.

Best of luck!

Oh boy...I dont want to scare you but being the mom of a kid with lymphoma, a type of cancer, things like fever, lumps on the groin, neck etc. night sweats, sudden loss of weight etc. can all be signs of that.

Swollen lymph nodes especially. I suggest you see a doctor right away and tell them you suspect something more is going on. They should be able to tell from a blood test if your white blood cells/platelets etc. etc. are off which can signify problems. There are scans they can do but I don't know now with you being pregnant. If it ends up it's cancer or something you may have to risk aborting to cure yourself as chemo and radiation can be severe and you don't want to leave this because it could already be advanced into stage 2 or 3 or 4 even. There are often no symptoms at all until it's advanced too.

I'm not saying it's that, but there is that possibility so go quickly and ask to be seen by an oncologist asap if they think there is any chance it could be that.

I wouldnt worry about it. Bring it up to your doctor at your next visit, but in most cases those types of things are caused by the hormones brought on by pregnancy.
