How can i crush cans?

What is the best tool/method you use to crush your cans? How do you do it and what is the ideal way to crush? Any tips?

Simplest way is to buy a can crusher but if you dont want to do that a heavy sledge hammer works. hold the sledge as an upsidedown T like this _!_ and hit/drop it onto the top of the cans. That way you are not swinging the heavy hammer and just letting gravity do the work for you. Most sledges have a large head that will work for this.

My Dad used to use a sledge hammer. He had a big hammer, and he'd use the head of it, and just drop it onto the can. Very little effort and mashed the buggers flat!

As in soda cans? put them on the ground right side up and smash them with your foot, but make sure your wearing a shoe.

they have an item called a can crusher that you can buy at the store. it hangs on the wall and very simple to use.

lay out the cans (about 100 at a time) in your driveway....... and drive over them with your car hey not a lot of labor involved
