1. A hen will lay as many eggs as it can.
2. A hen will not lay the eggs that it cannot lay.

in its life or in a day? at laying age they lay one egg a day. they lay for about 4 years really good then drop off to less frequent laying. they also slow in the winter and middle of summer.
