Go to www.ulta.com They give excellent descriptions of many perfumes and colognes and offer a search based on type of scent.
I recommend almost any high quality ( not highly advertised) French real perfume (over cologne). The French have truly elevated the art of perfume making.
Perfume is highly personal. Trying on no more than three perfumes in a given outing while searching is recommended. The nose loses some of its sensitivity and discernment after this. You must try the perfumes on your skin. Your body chemistry interacts with the perfume to make it quite different than on the next person.
Use very little. A woman's scent is meant to be an intimate thing. It is not meant to be a blaring megaphone intruding on everyone around her. The scent is for the person whose nose is within two inches of the woman's skin. Subtlety is key.

Love Spell from Victorias Secret. Its perfect, sweet/fruity, but elegant and professional, ohh and its sexy too.

J Lo 's perfume is really nice, I am not a fan of hers at all, but I think her perfume is pretty. It has a sweet honeysuckle scent.
