Have you tried the Ovulation Prediction Kits? Walmart sells them for around $20 and they really do work. I am irregular too because of Polycystic Ovaries and was lucky enough to have my 1st child in 2002 after trying for many years. Now, for the past 4 years, I haven't been able to conceive so my Dr put me on Provera pills once a day for 10 days every month to regulate my cycle and yes, it has regulated me so we will see what happens in the next couple months if I can conceive. Provera is Progesterone and he also said for me to take Prenatal Vitamins for the Folic Acid. Good luck!

If you cycle is irregular, then it's hard to know when you are ovulating. Some signs of ovluation are:
Pains in the lower abdomine on either your right or left side.
You will have cervical mucus (discharge) that looks like raw egg whites.
Other ways to find out when you are ovulating:
Buy an ovulation kit (Clear Blue Easy has 7 tests for about $20)
Chart your daily bbt (basil body temperature). You can get a bbt thermometer at most drugstores for about $10. When your temperature rises 0.5 degrees, you have ovulated. You can get more info and chart your bbt for free at fertilityfriend.com.
If you've had two miscarriages already, you might want to discuss this with your OB. Could there be a reason for this? I had a miscarriage and my OB later discovered that I need to take progesterone to help sustain my uterus lining so the egg can implant properly. I have heard of other women using this to prevent miscarriages as well.
You can also try having sex every other day starting on at least day 10 of your cycle through day 22. Most women do not ovulate before or after those days.
You can also ask your OB to put you on birth control pills for one month. This will help regulate your cycle for a month and most women conceive the first month going off the pill because you are more likely to ovulate that month.
If you are not ovulating regularly, your OB may be able to prescribe Clomid to help you ovulate.
Best of luck to you!

I am TTC also. I am also sorry for your loses. I have had 2 miscarriages and its the worst experience ever.
If you have a Dollar Tree, you can get some GOOD ovulation kits for a buck. That way you could buy 30 of them and take one everyday. There are ovulation kits on the market for $20-30 but they are basically the same thing. I think this is your best bet.
Also, you can go to www.fertilityfriend.com and enter your LMP and all symptoms, discharge etc and it will tell you when your best possible chances of conceiving are.
Good Luck to you and your husband, and again Im really sorry for your losses.

The following are ways to detect ovulation with some certainty, in order of decreased probability:
A typical temperature rise on the BBT chart.
An endometrial biopsy that shows typical changes 7-10 days after ovulation.
An elevated blood progesterone level about 7-10 days after ovulation.
Seeing on ultrasound a follicle that measures 18mm+ and not seeing it anymore several days later and seeing fluid around the ovary.
A positive OPK (ovulation predictor kit)
Ferning on the fertility microscope
Mittelschmerz (ovulation pain)
Cervical mucus changes like egg-white cervical mucus (EWCM).

about a day or two before a woman ovulates you should get clear streatchy discharge. This is a good indication. You might want to check w/ your doctor so that he/she can give you tests to make sure that you are in fact ovulating...if you are not you can take clomid to help you.... that would be after testing... Best of luck!

Thick stringy mucus and a dull ache on lower left or right side. Good luck to you and tons of sticky baby dust coming you're way!
PS investing in a good ovulation predictor kit may be a good idea.

I have an irregular cycle too. You can have sex every other day all month, or you can buy an ovulation indicator. I got one for only $20 that is reuseable. Check out your pharmacy for one. Also, (this is kinda gross, but) I've heard that when you're ovulating your discharge is clear and elastic (like mucus). Good luck.
