Oh sister, you need to change doctors! Have you tried talking with a therapist? Cognitive Behaviour Therapy works, I used a book called Mind Over Mood, worked through it with my therapist.
Try joining a yahoo group for depression support and do a gratitude list every day.
Get some fresh air and sunshine, exercise, even if it's just a walk.
Do not isolate yourself, force yourself to at least call someone.
Try doing something nice for yourself everyday.
Start a routine and stick with it, so you will have less disorder in your life.
If being around certain people brings you down, cut them out of your life. Same with some TV shows, if they upset you, tune them out.
Get help please? Depression is a disease that can kill, it should be taken seriously.
Good Luck to you, email me if you need to talk.

Doctors give pills as solutions thats what they do but really I think you need a counsellor who can help you talk over your problems. Pills can help to take the edge off your anxiety so if your doctor has prescribed them then it is a good idea to take them and give them a chance but ask your GP to refer you to an organisation who offer counselling. There is one called MIND but Im not sure if they operate in your area but worth a try.
You are not alone, the stress of life can sometimes be too much to bear but there is always light at the end of the tunnel so seek the help and dont give up.

Honey, anytime you think your dr isn't listening to you or taking you seriously, you need to switch drs. If you are having thoughts of suicide and the meds aren't working, you need something stronger, maybe some inpatient treatment. Get a referral to a psych dr. Some insurances cover those kinds of things and may even pay for so many visits.

I think you should change your Doctor. Sometimes depression can be caused by a simple chemical imbalance, which can be put right with medication. Most of us go through some depressive stage in life, you are not alone.

Antidepressant medication doesn't work on a lot of people. Switch doctors and find yourself a good therapist. Also, try and figure out if it is cycle related. Hormonal birth control has really helped me with my anxiety and depression.

I went through those feelings one short time in my life. Just survive. Start putting your worry into a job or the bills...and you won't have time to die much less the time to think about dieing.

I have not ever suffered from depression but from what you are saying, I think you need to go to a different doctor and need to be taken seriously before you do something silly. Please keep your chin and try to smile. Life really isn't that bad! Good luck!

anti-depressants don't work . you need at least 8 hours sleep every night and and a schedule during the day that doesn't allow you to sit down , how you feel makes you idle being idle makes you feel the way you do .
YOU CAN BEAT IT !
