Or do I just have to realize that my client base can only be a bunch of homosexual males and insecure females?

Though I don't think insecure females and homosexual males are the only option for clients. Generally African Americans and Asians are not as worried about getting a tan as Caucasians for obvious reasons.

Idiot it is not about coaxing blacks or Asian it is about providing a solution for PEOPLE. If you business sucks no one is surprised, you cannot spell, you are culturally insensitive and you look down on your clientele that is much classier than you are. Stop being so judgemental and greedy, better yet sell the place and get a cleaning job in a factory.

o.k, dunno. We are already black, some of us black enough. I do think if you include other services, like pedicures and manicures, even a massage service you can coax us in that way. I think when you encounter these services and when black or Asians start to arrive and take advantage of them, then you introduce them to tanning. Like giving them a brochure, the effects of the tanning process and so on.

If you believe, you shall receive.

One more thing, I'm quite sure, or hope so those insecure females and homosexual males do indeed have black friends. Tell them to tell their Friends and hopefully, hopefully some of them are BLACK or ASIAN and will show up. Then you tell them to tell their friends. You will boom from there. Good luck.

Well, first you want to stop using the word 'black' because I've no idea who you're talking about and neither will anyone else.
Second, if your tanning saloon (do you serve drinks in there too??) was good, you would get good clients. Guess, your saloon speaks for itself then.

Sorry, you should accept that they don't need tanning. Try to expand your client base among whites who are neither homosexual males nor insecure females.

When you say black i assume that you are refering to african people. Get it right. You won't get much clientell with that attitude.
Not to mention when was the last time you saw a black person looking for a tann. That is contradictory.
Anyway you need to look at your location. Make the place more enticing. Let the name speak for itself. You should expand and start offering massages and pedicures and manicures. Hire asian and african people. Then you will get there clientell.

You don't sound very kind or business oriented unfortunately. Good treatment of any potential customer is a good start.

I really don't understand why there are so many tanning salons though. It's not healthy; it's a waste of money. People who are white should take better care of their skin coz if they were meant to have darker skin they would have been born with it.

First thing change your attitude. People want to feel accepted, even at a tanning salon. Second, make sure your advertisements are multi-racial. Third, hire people from all races. Hope this helps.

You aren't going to be able to provide a service for people who don't want or need it. You are providing a service for homosexual males and insecure females who can't deal with the issue of their own skin color.

I don't know very many African Americans that go to the tanning salon. Unless there is someone that has a lighter complexion, he/she may go get a tan....
Honestly, I don't know how to help you with this question...
