soap and water.

What are you talking about? Do you want to erase everything? Do you want to just remove stuff you don't want anymore? What?

PS. Don't use soap and water - I was being sarcastic because your question was so poorly worded and described - soap and water will likely destroy the drive.

If it is for maintenance, and u r XP prof SP, then use diskkeeper. right click on disk drive on my comp->choose properties->tools->defrag now. then defrag all the drives one by one.
If u want to make it blank, just go to command mode, and fdisk using xp bootable cd. then delete all the drives and format it. Hi-try it in your PC, but not in others in their absence. Formating without permission is a crime...

What do u mean? If you want to clean everything, format your HD. Or if you want to clean unnecessary files, defragment your HD and use cleaning softwares.
