I am a BE in electronics and Communications. I am planning to do masters in telecommunications from US or australia. Are there any good career oppurtunities in india in the field of telecommunication.

Great career choice for India. India is still expanding the telecom network there. Everyone from the large carriers (BSNL, Reliance, etc.) and the vendors selling to them (Ericsson, Lucent, Nokia, etc.) all need smart people to plan, build, run and support these networks. Especially in the next 5-10 years before it cools off.

It depends on your educational and experience background. Currently "services" sectors are into up-drive. BPOs / Banking / Investments are the sectors offering opportunities at higher payscales. You need to be a commerce graduate, preferably a MBA ( if you are eyeing top posts). Petrochemicals is another sector. An engineering background is necessary. Retail is also good space to be in but a tough and competitive one. Marketing is the key subject here. Best luck to you.

yes there are many good apportunities if you are a briliant student
then you work in infosys,wipro, mind tree, robosoft etc compenies.
you earn good sallary also.
