i am still in shock over it .. it was a terrible freak accident .. and it really hit me hard because he was the same age as i am , 44
and the fact that he left behind two young children and his wife that is just so terribly sad.
and what i will remember about him.. is his great accent and smiling face and how good looking he was and how much he loved his family and loved the animals at his zoo .. he is missed ..

You play with fire you're gonna get burned. He had a way to really piss those animals off at times it has to make you stop and wonder, regardless of the fact he was a good man with great intentions a person like that will always be missed and remembered, I'll remember the day his wife flipped out on him when he did something stupid to piss off an animal and put himself in danger forget what the show was about they had just had their first born and she was all freaking out on the camera's yelling at him or shall I say *itching.

Can we stop all these questions about Irwin, the man's dead, let him rest in peace! Nature is not here for our entertainment and Irwin found that out too late. Let this be a lesson to others.

It is a freak accident it is definitely not fate. However, Steeve Irwin will continue to live in everyone's memory for his crocodile hunter's diary. Just amazing !!!

I definitely think that it was perhaps fate as great men never live very long.... my little brother was distraught, Irwin was his hero.... I will always remember "CRIKEY".....
He was totally awesome and if I lived in Australia I would definitely go to his memorial service. He was the only Australian that I liked... (I'm South African, that should explain the last remark...)

i think that it was faith, i mean he is an expert on animals so he must have known exaxctly what that sting ray was capable of. I was always told that you know when its ur time to go, and him pulling that sting ray from his chance shows me his braveness for animals and yet love for them, im sure when he pulled out that sting ray he thought nothing of it and went to sleep.....
