Press the Prt Scrn button and this takes a screen shot which you can then Cut and Paste to a word document by using either Control V or right click and then paste.

Press Print Scrn/Sys Rq button at the top of the keyboard next to the function keys. Then Ctrl and V at the same time to paste it.

Press printscreen button once then open up microsoft paint and paste the image into it. Then save the file as a bmp. It makes a large file size but if you dont have any other image software on pc its about your only option.

press the "print screen" button, it is the one just beside F12 (on its right)
Then open a software in winch you can paste a image (like paint, word, powerpoint, etc.) and take the "edit -> paste" option on the menu. Then simply save it. The best way is to use a drawing software like paint.

Here's a FREE program I use.
Go to http://www.download.com and seach for Gadwin Printscreen
Download and install the program.
It will install in a mode whereas it will capture your screenshot as a file in My Documents, and will then print it automatically through Gadwin, or you can change the settings so that it will simply print the screenshot.
