Are there companies out there who make any money using this tactic?
Also, I have had emails promising that I have "inherited" large sums of money, all i need to do is provide my name and address to claim the money. Of course, I assume that these are part of a devious scam, but what are these people likely to do with my personal info?

well to anwser your first Question about Penis mail,Usually if you ordered something threw mail they have way of getting your name off list and they start sending you all kinds of Bullshit!Second ques,They could use your personal info for a number of things,one is Idenity Theft,{thats were they Prtend to be you and run up all kinds of Bills in your name,Thats going on alot now adays Thanks to computers and Carless Poeple!Don,t give Anybody your personal Business on Computer!Hollywood!

Yes!! There is big money for companies who sell Viagra and/or penis enlargement pills and/or equipment. It's all part of a larger pornography industry.
Obviously, the "inherited" scam is a fraud. They then have personal information and could, if given enough information, steal your identity and rack up large bills at your expense. Be careful!!
