my mate is realy anorexic and need to eat but she want and her doctor siad if she dosint start eating she is going to die and she has a wee boy to think about he 5 yers old and if anything happend to his mum he would be lost without her so what can i do to get her to eat

My mother was anorexic about 10 years ago. The first big problem with people who have this disorder is that they are truly clueless to the fact that they have a problem. Anorexics never know that they are anorexic. The reality is that until people recognize that they need to change they will not, and believe me, she will not recognize this
just from you trying to convice her that she has a problem. If you dont
get her professional help, in a hospital, you will probably lose her.

What I would do is scower the internet for pictures of anorexic individuals. Print those pictures out and let her see them. She needs to see what is happening, and what might happen to her body if this continues, Usually hearing from a doctor someone's fate is usually enough for someone to have a life altering experience, but that didn't seem to affect her. So you have to try aother approach. Is losing her life really worth being skinny?

Call the doctor. An intervention, and possibly hospitalization, is in order.
I don't know if they'll be allowed to put you through to the doctor coz you're not the patient though. So...maybe drive her to the doctor and go in with her and ask for help.

If she just won't eat and you tried and tried to get her to eat and she won't, she might need professional help. If you can get her into a clinic somewhere, that would be a start. You can only do so much. You can't help someone who doesn't want to be helped. So you make them. That's what friends are for.

she needs counseling to start dealing with the anorexia. there's not much you can do to get her to eat except have her try to eat one or two more bites of whatever at a time so that she gets more and more comfortable eating. besides, she won't be able to eat a whole lot at first because her body may not be able to handle it until she gets used to it.

anorexic people with children are clearly being selfish...if she cared about her child's welfare she would seek help of a professional.
