I'm about 6 weeks pregnant. I woke up this morning with a terrible kink in my neck. I was wondering, does anyone know if muscle relaxers are safe to take while pregnant?

Don't take anything without the OK from your doctor! You can take tylenol in limited quantities without harming the baby.

How about getting a relaxing neck massage from the baby's father? You can also try applying a heat pad to relax the muscle directly.

NOT SAFE! Try putting a hot towel or washcloth on your neck to relax the muscles naturally, then try to relax and have some camomile tea. If the pain still persists, take only TWO tylenol, at most. Your muscles will relax more during your pregnancy, so they really don't need that much help.

Your doctor is the best person to direct this question. You are not only responsible for your health now, but also for the tiny treasure inside you. all medications taken during pregnancy should be done so under the guidance of your physician.

Not safe.

Ask your doctor about taking Tylenol and maybe some Potassium. Potassium helps as an anti-inflammatory and can lessen muscle cramps.

ABSOLUTELY NOT! Go to the Dr and ask him what is safe......you want the baby deformed or hooked on drugs before it's born?
