Here is an awesome self feeder that we have built cheaply and used quite sucessfully ourselves.

Go to Lowe's or Home Depot and go to the PVC section where they have big PVC pipe (preferably the green kind). Buy a large stick about 8 feet long that is about 12 inches or so in diameter. Also buy two angled connnectors that would go into the middle of a pipe and two end caps (the kind that screws into the bottom of the connector if you can find them.) Cut the stick of PVC in half and put one connector and one cap on each using PVC glue to connect the connector and pipe together, but leave the cap where you can screw it on and off for cleaning the feeder. Mount it to a wall or fence post using the metal mounting tape that has holes in it. Pour your feed in the top part of the stick of PVC, and gravity will make it come out of the bottom into the open part of the connector, where your goats can stick their muzzles in to eat the food.

Does this make sense? Your finished feeder should look kind of like a check mark, with a very short bottom part of the check.
