Alot of times your school or workplace will have a therapist. You should check out the local county health center.
But I always find a friend is a better therapist.

If you really look, you will find help all over the place. A few people have already mentions school or workplace councellors. That is a great idea. Sometimes there are programs around your community as well. If you are in true need of psychological help though, a friend or someone to listen isn't going to do you any good. Try looking around. Ask your family doctor, they would probably be able to recommend something for you.

Try the Department of Human Services or the Department of Adult Services. Call your local Health Department and they can give you some advice. Numbers should be in the phone book.

Check and see if your workplace/school has a counsellor you could talk to.
On an unofficial note, anyone can help: your parents, a trusted friend... as long as they have what it takes to help you. Even some advice HERE can be sound.
There are loads of places you can go. Just keep your eyes and ears open.

There are a few options you can try. 1800-lifeline is one. Another way you can go about it is to look if there is a psychology graduate school in your area, and see if they offer clinic hours to the public. In New York there are several who offer it.

Wrap your head in aluminum foil. Wear nothing else but women's pantyhose pulled up to your shoulders.
Walk around the parking lot of your local police station and tell everyone that you are czyk 06, the First High Priest from the Soltar Galaxy. Drool on your shirt and moan.
This has worked for me on several occassions.

strip of all your clothes and scream "I'm a tea pot" at the top of your voice, then go to your bank and stand at the door welcoming people as they come in, then stand in line and make 'beep beep ' noises!, then wear your underwear on your head, make faces saying it smells.
that should qualify you for state paid for psychological help
it may also get you a free ride in one of those nice cars with them uniformed guys
