Flamingos frequently stand on one leg, both when feeding and at rest.
The reason for this behavior is not fully known.

They have several reasons. One that was not addressed yet in an answer is that having one leg in the water resembles reeds to the fish around them. It makes it easier for them to hunt, because the fish don't realize it's an animal.

The water is cold.

because they have fat bodys and thin legs so legs get tired and they change each leg by standing on 1 for a while then the other 1. thier legs also have to carry thier fat bodys.
