i went to cyprus last month and went on a trip to egypt there were fifteen coaches each with an armed guard and police escorts in front and at the back (i was terrified)

Because holiday parties have been attacked by terrorists in Egypt
quite recently .
They are considered as "soft targets" by Arabic fanatic terrorists
Particularly American and British tourists .
Life is considered as cheap to those from Hezbollah, Hamas, AL-Fatah and all the other fanatic hangers on .
So the police escorts are designed to protect you .

Because not too long ago, many people got shot and killed by where the pyramids where. They were all tourist. I think since then, they aren't taking any chances. In this day and age, it pays to have some sort of protection.

Because some idiots killed a bunch of tourists once. Their goal was to damage Egypt's economy by reducing tourism.

Its very dangerous. Especially for females. I'm assuming you are white and blonde from your Avitar, men will actually try to buy you.
