Yes they do seem to be alternating between Summer and Thanksgiving. Do you think the cast will be able to finish the whole book series in the movies. I have a feeling that they will be getting too old soon and may have to use a different cast for the last movie. Especially since it's not even out yet. I love the movies and book series.

I think that you may be right. I know that they have been working hard at filming the movies as quickly as possible. It would really disappoint me if they chose to recast the students due to age. The audience has watched those actors grow up in the films and it would be jarring to have them replaced. I know my family thinks of those actors as those characters when we've reread the books. I really don't like Michael Gambon as Dumbledore, for example. I know that they had to recast, since Richard Harris died, but it is an example of how a recast changes things. It wasn't a big deal when they recast the character of Cornelius Fudge because his isn't a pivotal role, but a new Harry? Or Hermione? Ron? Draco? It would SUCK! And, they've already got an actor that is much older than her character (playing a student.) The actress that played Moaning Myrtle in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, Shirley Henderson, was 35! So, it certainly has and can be done.

Sounds right to me.

For the person asking if the cast will be able to finish, I think they will. Think about it. Luke Perry was 30 and playing a teenager.
I think that people younger than that will be able to pull it off. Radcliffe is what, 17 now? In 2010, he'll be 21, playing a 17 y/o. I think they can pull it off.

Yes, of course. You don't listen to PotterCast by any chance, do you? (They talked a lot about this on their podcast)

In fact, I think Rupert Grint may have even confirmed this in a recent interview. You should check some of the unnoficial fansites.

yes, but they may take a little longer, but I guess they do want it done quicker so that they dont have 30 year olds playing 18 yr olds in HP7.
