It depends on how committed you are to your religious beliefs. Hindu's seem pretty willing to embrace many religions within their belief systems. What will be a challenge will be if Muslim men treat their women different from how a Hindu woman thinks she should be treated. I don't know the answers to that question--but you need to look at it.

No. How can it be ? A marriage is a union of 2 souls with kindred taste, motivations and aspirations. That is before children comes into the equation. For then the husband and wife team becomes father and mother. And basically what happens in marrying is that you will be marrying the father to be of your child to be or you will be the mother of your unborn child. So not only are there cultural differences in your case but also religious undertones of families. Unless you and hubby is prepared to go the way of Romeo and Juliet. Having said that how strong are your religious beliefs. How fervent is he in his. Is it just family tradition ? Or cultural traditions. If religion is your life and it is his, how can your esolve the basic differences. Hindu religion has many many gods. Islam has but 1. How you reconcile that ? What religion is your child. The concept of reincarnaion is so alien to Islam. So no i dont see it working out. Unless both of you take a "middle road"....there is a hope yet.

Watch Dr. Zakir Naik's program and you would know that Hinduism and Islam have some common ideologies. So initially i would suggest you to study both the religions and then pick the one which is true and then get married.

Easier to do as a Hindu because it's not a stretch to adjust to adding another path to God. It may be difficult, especially when children become involved or if one of you gets more serious about religion.
Gonna be tough, though.

If the both of you are open to compromise and are committed to each other, you probably can work things out to the mutual benefit of both of you.

The probability to work it out is inversely proportional to how deeply EITHER of you practices your respective religions.
i.e. the MORE that either one of you believes their religion the LESS likely it will work out.

there is no reason that you cannot be with someone of a different religion, especially if you love them.
