After the Civil War, the KKK were against the Republican
Reconstruction government and their leaders, both black
and white, which came into power in the Southern States in 1867. They were putting blacks in certain leadership positions and the KKK did not appreciate that.

Not exactly true. When David Duke ran for governor, it was as a Republican. And he was very close (2nd place).

It is true thogh that the KKK was originally Dem because of the Reconstruction was administrated by Johnson's Republican Administration. However, with the Reagan revolution, the tide changed and those people who may have been sympathetic to the Dems and the KKK switched parties due to governmental largess and massive welfare failures.

That was actually until the signing of the Voting Rights Act by President Johnson. After that, when President Nixon began the campaign of enticing conservative Southern Democrats, the KKK has been following the same course.

Everything is out of context. There is nothing in the blog you have linked to that suggests the KKK were pro democrat. Anti-republican is not refering to The Republican party. Both parties would run a mile to distance themselves from this 17th century mindset.

Its all nonsense why I am answering this question.

You have it the other way around. The KKK is more like the Republican party.
