I was having a baby and we were so stuck for a boys name, girls names were easy.
We initially thought of Liam but a week before the baby was due decided we didn''t like this.
The baby was born, and was a boy. We decided to call him HARRISON (its not going to be shortened to harry) and ANDREW for his middle name after my partners dad.
I agree that trying out rhymes etc is a good idea to see what the kids will come up with at school. Plus pick something that goes with the surname. Our surname is Johns so we had to be really careful to pick a name that didn't sound silly with it.

Here is a link to a website of given names from all different cultures around the world. There are too many to bother suggesting one, but browsing through the names is easy and it includes their meanings, so I suggest you check out these pages. There are far more interesting names than you've ever heard of or might ever imagine.

It depends on the personality and the surname of the child, my son is called Jake and it suits him down to the ground, my first reaction was to call him Kieron, Jakob or maybe Zaq but I chose right in the end. He is 12 and he loves it.
