Ok. I used to track my BBT. If your cycle started in the night, don't worry about it, start the temps the next day. Basal thermometers are very senstitive, and some people just naturally run a low temp. 96.4 is ok, the thing you have to look out for is a temp spike for three days, this can be up to one full degree, but if you are charting, you will notice the spike, and if it stays up for those three days, it's safe to assume you ovulated. It takes about three months of charting to notice any pattern. Good luck!

Everyone's body is different. Some people's normal temp is a little higher, some lower. That's why you need to chart them, to see the rise & fall of your temp over time. One reading doesn't mean anything.

Go to www.fertilityfriend.com to view sample charts. You can also track your temps there as well.

I read somewhere on the internet whereby this doctor researcher went to a remote village in africa whereby when they want to get pregnant, they have sex when the women is on her period and they get pregnant instantly. The doctor researcher discussed this approach with an american couple who could not get pregnant for years and then they tried it ( having intercourse whilst on her period ) and the lady got pregnant. The doctor researcher and others are still unsure how this works....
