Hi,
i've been asked to think of a director who has his own themes, styles etc... for Film Studies at college. Could someone suggest one along with 3 or 4 films he's done and why you think he has his own style. They can be from any country and do any genre. 10 points for good answer. Thanks.

Martin Scorsese ( I think) has a pretty unique style with the use of lighting. See "Goodfellas", "Casino", and "Bringing Out the Dead". Plus all his movies are gritty and on the verge of vulgarity.

Wes Anderson. He directed (and cowrote) The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou, The Royal Tenenbaums and Rushmore. His films are very understated and cunning. He is also involved in choosing songs for the soundtrack/score and really knows how to use music to help the scene.

Quintin Tarantino;Pulp Fiction,True Romance & Kill Bill I,II.
His choice of characters, music& theme are delivered in his style of telling many stories and tying them together. He scatters around the story developing in depth the characters then brings them together. He makes the audience pay attention.
