If you have the Intel Display Adapters installed you can switch it by pressing Ctrl+Alt+Arrow keys to rotate the display. For example, Ctrl+Alt+UP.

There are two possibilities: hardware or software.
Hardware: Your monitor might have under its options/settings button the switch to "mirror" or "viewing angle 180º" and this option has been set as "on".
OR
Software: Your graphics card has advanced options such as switching/tilting the screen upside down.

It is very difficult to say which of them is the problem with your machine, without a proper idea of the full configuration.
Then again, you could just turn the whole monitor upside down, and be amused with your resourcefulness :-)...

Depending on what kind of video card is in your machine and the drivers that are used you may be able to change it in the display properties under the advanced button and see if the is anything that allows you to change the orientation of the display, some display drivers allow you to rotate the display and even allow you to flip it 180deg. Nvidia allows for this and so does ATI I'm not sure for the Intel though (can't remember).

My ATI 9700 playing cards demonstrate motive force has a one hundred eighty degree turn function which works nicely. in spite of the undeniable fact that the priority you'll bump into is the mouse will artwork backwards except you turn it the incorrect way up also.
