Kurt Cobain's suicide - cause?

Question

Was just listening to Nirvana - and always wonder about what happened inside his head to make him do it.

I know drugs were most likely the leading factor, Courtney quite likely drove him to madness, his own dedication to musical honesty, but it doesn't seem enough somehow...

Any thoughts?

now THAT was a light that went out way too soon! He had so much potential to be more and more and more.

I believe it was a tortured soul kind of thing. He couldn't make sense of the world around him and the drugs didn't help that. He was so depressed and was totally self-medicating the pain...unfortunately some people can't get past all that garbage...Courtney might have been a factor but she wasn't the cause...he was way depressed even before she came along...

I was thinking about this the other day, so I checked out loads of websites about it. I have his diaries and I looked at his handwriting- some of the letters don't match up at all, and he was as screwed on drugs as he was when his brains got blown out.

if he did it was being loved. he'd always been hated and wanted to be reclusive; the success could have simply driven his self-destructive tendancies to an extreme level, or that and he didn't want his child to go through a life of divorces like him. But surely she would have been better off with the father there. Imagine if your dad was an improbable druggie rock star- wouldn't that be the coolest thing in the world?

Kurt had already gone through madness and come out the other side. If he stuck around most likely he would have become an artist or a writer, and probably have been just as influencial to the art world as to the music world. I think that's something to think about. And if courtney was my wife.. i know i'd be reaching for the shotgun myself..

I think he was very upset. Rumor has it, Courtney was having an affair with Billy Corgan of the smashing pumkpins(not trying to slam him, love him, my fave band). I've seen in interviews he'll say, "I don't want to talk about anything to do with courtney love."

I've heard on tv that some DR's believe he was sooo wasted that he couldn't have been able to pull the trigger let alone hold that shotgun up to himself...which makes some believe it wasn't suicide.
I however, think it was. I'd say he was just so F'ed up over it all, and the drugs definitely DIDN'T help!!
It's too bad, I really enjoyed that sexy man and his music.

Dumb enough to play Russian Roullette with the gun???

Maybe the gun was a smart tool for him to use if he was really stoned on drugs, it was no longer a gun it was a magical tool to make him smarter????

Maybe to take care of his wife and kid, if he did do a suicide,make him more popular for many years beyond his natural death might of been. Like 100 years from now he be remebered cause of a suicide?

There is no way he could have shot himself. This has been proven several times. He did have mental issues as shown anytime he was on television and this may have led to the "suicide".

We'll never know what really happened. He had a lot of problems. Maybe he was killed, maybe not, but there is a lot of mystery surrounding that last night. too soon too late he sleeps with angels tonight
