While deleting songs and photos it froze in the deleting field and is now making a clicking noise and will not shut off. I purchased this for my Niece for a birthday present and she has only had it since September 7th of this year .

Try taking the battery, out and then turning it back on, if that doesnt work then its probaly something more complex wrong with it. My Creative did the same thing, and I had to send it in for a base price of 25 bucks to get it fixed. BTW the 25 bucks is to see what the problem is. But yours is in the 3 month warranty so you shouldnt have to worry about paying, only for shipping. After the 3 months then you have to pay for it.

If you purchased it new then send it back under warranty. If 2nd hand and out of warranty then yes it's posible to open it up and get to the battery but it doesn't sound like the battery is your problem. If it has a hard drive inside, which i believe those models do, then it sounds like the head is rubbing across the platters, which means you're screwed in basicly. Sounds like maybe someone dropped it at some point or you just got unlucky with a duff one.
