Well since you left the door open to long, or an open window without any shields on it, any food smell would get my attention as a fly.
Thats where the left out food is! You just got up to answer the phone, you left your sandwich unattended. I shall now land on it and stick my tiny tongue on it.
I also want to hang upside down from your ceiling and watch whats happening.
I think flies are curious critters. I think they are short life, so why not go inside and see whats on in that house?

I don't think flies understand that they are entering a house where they will most likely die. I think if they did, they wouldn't enter it.

well flys arent that smart they are just another annoying liveing organism that does not no where its goin and all the micro smell that u cant smell may be appealing to that apperant fly
