There are several ways you could answer this question. What does the questioner mean by "scientifically"? Do they mean who would beat all the other superheroes in a fight? Do they mean which superhero's powers have the greatest scientific validity in the real world? Or do they mean which superhero is the greatest scientist?
I suspect it may be the first of the three options but just in case I will try to answer all of them.
Who would be the last man or woman standing in a fight between all the heroes. Well it wouldn't be Superman, Spiderman or Wolverine. All of them can be beaten quite easily by someone with psychic powers. Having said that most psychic superheroes are fairly weedy and if anyone they were fighting connected with a lucky punch before they were knocked out or controlled they would be unconscious, at best. Therefore are there any psychic heroes with strength or other such powers. I suggest the two most powerful to be the Martian Manhunter from the JLA, not only has he nearly all Superman's powers but is a powerful psychic, can turn invisible and change his appearance at will and the Silver Surfer who posesses Cosmic power along with amazing speed, strength, endurance and indvulnerability. Who would win between the two, difficult to say, but in the end I believe that the Silver Surfer's Cosmic Power would give him the edge. Thus my choice for the most powerful superhero has to be the Silver Surfer.
Next which hero's powers have the greatest basis in fact. Well obviously nobody who's powers are magic based are going to stand a chance. Likewise anybody who relies upon their own body being enhanced with great strength, speed, agility etc. because it just has no basis in reality. That leaves us with characters who have no true super powers who are at the peak of possible human ability - the undoubted number one in this category being Batman. And characters who use bio-mechanical weapons and suits - the top of the pile here in my opinion being Iron Man. Remembering this particular argument is down to scientific reality we must therefore choose Batman as Iron Man uses just too many devices that are way beyond science at the moment.
Lastly which hero is the greatest scientist. Well there are quite a few to choose from but only one whose scientific ability overcomes the foe more often than his own super powers and that is definitely Mr. Fantastic of the Fantastic Four. After all it wasn't his powers that defeated Galactus it was his scientific genius. The same genius that created the Fantastic Four in the first place.
So there we have it. Scientifically the greatest superhero in a fight is The Silver Surfer. The most realistic by the standards of today's science is Batman. And the greatest scientist Mr. Fantastic.

The obvious answer to this question would be Superman. The reasons for this are that firstly he is a SUPER hero and is called SUPERman, and secondly he is the only Superhero (as far as I know) that is born a Superhero. In other words his alter-ego is Clark Kent. The other Super heroes have their Super persona as their alter-ego, i.e. Bruce Wayne becomes Batman, Peter Parker becomes Spiderman etc. Superman doesn't have to "become" anyone, he just is SUPERMAN.

I think the best superheroes would be Elias Paniki and Lam-Ang...Superman doesn't stand a chance against this superheroes...All the superheroes mentioned have weaknesses because they are all popular thus people search for their weaknesses. This two Superheroes are always on the low, keeping a low profile while fighting crime and saving lives...Plus they're invincible...If they die, in the morning they will be revived once the roosters make sounds in the morning (i forgot the term, my bad). And also some superheroes have gay costumes! But the ultimate superhero is still Herman Moreno, the superhero that never sleeps...all he does is to save lives and fight crime and nothing else...peace!Ü

Scientfically speaking I couldn't give you a reason why my superhero is the best but in actual comic books superman (most peoples choice of best superhero) is beaten senseless by Batman in the Frank Miller run of the Dark Night.
Batman may be just a normal person but using science he often deduces a persons weakness and creates a scenerio to defeat them. I guarantee he would beat pretty much any one given enough time to research their downfall.

I have loved Spiderman ever since I watched the cartoons as a child. Spiderman was always someone I felt I could relate to rather than other superheroes; plus I wanted to be Mary Jane.

Superman seems pretty unbeatable if you keep the kryptonite out of the picture. Remember in one of the C.Reeve's movies when he flew around the world so fast he actually got the earth to revolve backwards and went back in time to save Lois Lane? What other superhero could do that???

The Incredible Hulk was born from science. He could easily destroy 99% of the other superheros. Wolverine and Superman would be his only challenges. Don't forget the angrier he gets the larger he gets, the larger he gets the stronger he gets. If he rips an arm off Wolverine I don't think it will re-grow.
