It's not about anything at all, and we are here for whatever purpose we want to be here.

The universe is swarming with life. The sooner that various governments on Earth acknowledge that fact, and make it public, the sooner we can all move on from the religious stigma that is keeping our society in the dark ages.

Big question!
There are many books out there that shed much light on the answers. In reading just a few about reality, spirituality, and quantum mechanics I believe we are here to learn again who and what we are.God or LIFE is ALL THAT IS,you are a part of that and can never be separated. We are at a very early stage in our development.Einstein realized that we live in a relative universe,we can not know up without knowing down, hot without cold, peace without violence,LOVE without hate etc, etc.
When we learn to observe what works to promote and preserve LIFE than we may evolve to the next level if not we will have to start over again.
I believe we are here to have a good time, to work with LIFE and to evolve to higher and higher levels of being.
It seems we still have much to learn, killing in war and letting people starve while others throw away more food than what it would take to feed them simply because we can't create a means to get that food to them,a crime as hideous as the holocaust.Humanity has the ability to move forward. When we observe that we are all ONE and that what we do to another we do to ourselves maybe we can move forward and LOVE will be the standard for all decision making.

Your question is extremely ambiguous but I'll take it from the life point of view. We're all here to fulfill a specific purpose with our lives,to help others to see a better way,to be helped in our time of need,to love and be loved and to replenish the earth's human resource as well as to continue the progress made by our fore-parents so that life when we die will continue to flourish for another generation to live and build on!!!!

God's original purpose was for planet Earth to be inhabited by righteous, perfect humans. The prophet Isaiah wrote: "This is what Jehovah has said, the Creator of the heavens, He the true God, the Former of the earth and the Maker of it, He the One who firmly established it, who did not create it simply for nothing, who formed it even to be inhabited."—Isaiah 45:18. For about the first 6,000 years of this period, God has allowed mankind to operate independently of his direct guidance. That is what our original parents chose of their own free will. (Genesis 3:17-19; Deuteronomy 32:4, 5) This allowance of independence from God's guidance and the subsequent rule by humans instead of by God would show up man's inability to direct his own steps and his inability to govern his fellowmen successfullyThe wise man Solomon commented on the disastrous results that follow when humans attempt to dominate their fellows, as they have over the centuries. "All this I have seen, and there was an applying of my heart to every work that has been done under the sun, during the time that man has dominated man to his injury."—Ecclesiastes 8:9. However, far from "sitting back as a spectator while mankind wrestles with the puzzle," Almighty God has had good reason for allowing the passage of these thousands of years without intervening directly in the lives of the majority

Try to recognize love as a primary aspect found in the source of creation, the creation of all things.

Love is the purpose. We are in existence to engage in loving exchange and reciprocation. This is the essence of existence in this material world where things seem so mundane.

Love is the ultimate realization and bliss both in the material existence and the spiritual existence.

The material existence is temporal and ephemeral. The spiritual existence is eternal and absolute.

Humans need an extension of themselves to be fulfilled and thus sexually and socially they interconnect with others however in so doing they often become nothing but bumper cars, or active forces trying to be catalysts to the action of other active forces without ever understanding that although we are social creatures up to a point happiness, as Aristotle phrases it in Ethics, comes from exploring the best parts of ourselves through contemplation of ideas as well as the world around us and through use of the rational principle. Aristotle tells us that we are far from infatigible but the more we try to study life and spend time in pure contemplation the more we will find our own lives enriching. Why spend all of our time banging around with the outside world and never once knowing the inner thoughts of one's own mind. As Socrates says the unexamined life is not worth living. However we are creatures meant to interact in the world and goodness is not a subject for speculation. Virtue, Aristotle teaches, comes from interacting with the world by using the "mean" between two extreme emotions and formulating relationships where we are not using others for utility or for pleasure or for quid pro quo, but in selfless caring for others. Compassion, says Plato, is not an emotion but an intellectual function and it is compassion that needs to be our driving force. This is all that we need to know. There is no point in saying that none of it matters. We are here today and gone tomorrow: generations, millenia, but it serves no purpose to think about this fact
