Your question is worded a little vaguely. If you are comparing a 98 year old to a 1 year old you would include similarities such as having difficulty walking on their own, having difficulty controling their kidneys and bowels and possibly needing someone to feed them, dress them etc. If you're comparing a 70 year old to a 30 year old they have too much in common to list but you could start with they each deserve to be respected, they each have the right to strive for happy life and they each love their children.

They all have an opinion. They are all a part of life. They live. They die. Some say old people are smarter because of their experiences (life). Some say young people are smarter because of their exceriences(technology). I am not young, yet most of my family say that I have never grown up. I like being a kid and having lots of fun. I like doing silly things. So age has nothing to do with being a grown up. Old...yea, we will all get there. But it's not bad if you never grow up.

Old people and children both have a strong dependence on others to take care of their basic needs.
As old people tend to develop illnesses affecting their use of their brain (combined with lack of challenging it with daily work), their speech may be comparable to a child just learning the language.

young people don't have to worry they will get old one day. When I was young thirty was old when I was thirty sixty was old now that I am sixty I don't care. Young people judge old folks old folks judge young folks. I think it isn't what we have in common, but what we don't have in common that make it interesting and our ability to be individuals. Be a winner. Pam has it all together.
