Any themepark within travelling distance of Bristol. Oakwoods the nearest but is closing next week. Taking 8 teenagers for a day out, any suggestions? Has to be a theme-park type place.

I think you'll just have to accept that you will have to drive for at least a couple of hours. Crealey in Devon is a bit too "young" for teenagers, as is Legoland, which is just off the M4, near Windsor.

Depending which side of Bristol you are starting from, your best bets are:

North & West: go up the M5 and across on the M42 towards Tamworth for Drayton Manor;

South & East: go down to the A303 and then up to Chessington or Thorpe Park in Surrey.

There is a theme park type place in South Wales. They have done a fair bit of advertising on the radio in the Bristol Area.

You could try this:-

Crealy Adventure Park Devon
"The easiest Park to find - just 4 minutes from the M5 Junction 30 on the A3052, Sidmouth Road near Exeter."
