Depends how much your willing to spend. If you can muster up £100 take her and yourself off to a spa for the day. Nothing better than that - you two get a good day out together and after all that relaxing and pampering she should be ready for a good night out afterwards - which the rest of her mates can pay for. Search the web for deals near to you.

I would buy her a nice piece of jewellery as a keepsake as it's a special birthday. Doesnt have to be expensive, but something she can look back on and remember you over the years as a good friend.

Get her a newspaper from the day she was born, bet no one will get her that, and she'll remember you for it!
There are many things to get someone for the day, or year they were born, but I would get her something else to go with it, so one gift show you have put some thought into it, and one just to spoil her, like a box of chocolates or something.

There are many ways that you can understand what does she/he like.
Ask about her/his childhood interests. Then easily guess what does she/he like.
You can also ask her/his other close friends or even family about her/his wishes.
Of course if you are a good friend and know her/him well, you know what to buy.
Tell him/her happy birthday for me and tell that it's a special congratulation from an Iranian Boy,Bobby.

Best Regards.............Iranian Bobby

whatever you give her, even if it is small, you must write a very nice letter with lots of attention that she will understand that you worked really hard.
a small gift with an amazing letter is much nicer and warms the heart more than a huge gift that you didn't even wrap by yourself....
also you should buy her something that she can exchange in the store wheather she doesnt like it.

How about a 'carrie' necklace - you can get them in silver and gold so the price varies according to want you want to spend - and she will always have a keepsake to remind her of her birthday and you.
Hope she has a good day
