For those that asked, no im not black. And as for the quote that the copper in the article said about more white people selling drugs its also a fact that the majority of crime carried out in london is in the black community so lets not start the merry go round.

Here in the states the police can catch them in the act of committing a crime and they scream that they were framed, they always blame someone else. Sounds like you have the same problem there, it's not their fault that they commit a crime its the policeman's fault for catching them.

A criminal is a criminal regardless of race, that is true. But the police shouldn't stop somebody on the road or in the street specifically because they're black, as that would be to assume that black = criminal, which would be racist. it would also be racist to treat that person differently once in custody solely because of their race. Black males are often subject to this sort of treatment, however, as prejudiced officers assume that a black male is more likely to be a criminal.
On the second point, it wouldn't surprise me if white british criminals are less likely to be pursued or investigated than other races and nationalities, as the police are concentrating on these others, as mentioned above. also, perhaps even more worryingly, foreign and ethnic minority defendants are likely to be less well represented legally, and are well known to be significantly more likely to receive a custodial sentence for an identical crime to one commited by a white, british, middle-class male. This suggests institutional racism is present in both the judicial and the police system.
For the record, I'm a reasonable thuggish looking white male, and I've never been stopped by the police for any reason. If I dressed the same, acted the same and spent time in the same areas (of Bristol, where I live) but had dark skin, I think that would be a completely different story.
In short, if you're going to be a criminal, it pays to be white.

I think we should start a campaign to encourage more white, indigenous members of the population to commit more serious crime. This would restore the balance and surely satisfy the lefty do gooder half wits that come out with such lunacy.

Yes, drug dealers may be predominantly white and the users black ( don't slate me, it was in the above mentioned article.) But don't you think that one way to get the 'white dealers' is to stop the users and get info from them.?
also, as you said, a criminal is a criminal regardless of race.
But what I think the point being made in the article is, is that white criminals are slipping though the net because they don't get targeted like some black people do.

Black males were and are targeted by various groups. Some do so because they are against their skin colour, others do so because of our social class or background. It really is a long and complexed issue, but as the saying goes 'he that feels it knows it'. You would have to walk in a black males shoes to really understand. My best advice is to do some research on the history of relations between blacks and whites if u r really interested in understanding how they r targeted.

Whether they be black white green or purple if they are criminals they should pay for their crimes, if they are immigrants legal or illegal if they break the law they should serve their sentence and then be deported as they are no longer bringing anything to our country but crime.

Yes, but it's the UK so we have to pussyfoot around anyone who is not white. As for too many foreigners in prison, ask the government who keep letting them in without checking their history.

i am not being a racist but the problem in today's world is that some one's reputation is taken as more serious than the person himself and unfortunately as every muslim is treated as a terrorist so is every black person a potential criminal.....there is a back ground to every thing.....ever since slavery was abolished the blacks have shunned being 2nd class citizens every where by keeping their head high.....that is misconstrued to be an attempt to be above the law.....and which has resulted in the man handling of blacks at the hands of the law enforcers before any thing was proved against them.

Totally agree with your comment! If they are in prison they are in there for a reason - it's nothing to do with their colour/ race or gender!
People aren't targeted for no reason!
