Will a Snooper GPS radar detector work in a Peugeot 307?

I can't get my snooper S3 Neo radar detector to pick up satellites, this maybe because of some heat reflective windscreen peugeot uses. Has anyone else managed to get one of these working in a Peugeot 307?

Yes but you need to make use of the little patch near the rear view mirror that isnt treated.

Why would you EVER need a radar detector in a Peugeot?
