This person I don't know keeps seninding horibble messages and spreading all kinds of rumors about me on message boards. I've never even talked to this person.

They sometimes contact me directly with threats. They say they know me and know where I live.

so lost honey don't feel bad. What you do is report this person to proper Authorities. Report him or her to Microsoft or Yahoo or best of all if you are in UK honey and under age then report this to your local police. Do not let this person get away with it because he could be doing this to others as well. One must stand up to people like this. Honey if you cant do it contact me and I will report this person to higher Authorities. Good luck

stressful! Dont let them scare you sounds like they are just immature and want to put the wind up you, take evrything this person says with a grain of salt.....- in otherwords ignore it and it will go away once they have become bored with you not reacting

Talk to this person, just like you would if he/she wasn't using the internet. If you can't do that then there's nothing you can do short of suing him/her for slander/libel. Do you have a reputation to maintain?
